In 6 easy ways
I know you’ve seen about 100 of these pages telling you how you can go from 0 to 10k followers in a month and then you try following their advice and you never see results. Well I’m here to tell you that I am only 17, studying ATAR in year 12 and I managed to turn my hobby of doing henna tattoos into a good source of income through my instagram. For almost 2 years I had an instagram account that never grew past 300 followers. I tried little tips I saw online but I didn’t know exactly what I was doing, I didn’t know what worked and what was a scam and I didn’t know what would work for me. In February thus year, I grew my account from 300 to 4000 followers- without spending ANY money. So I’m here to tell you exactly how I did it and how you can do it too.
1. Don’t pay for ads
Now there’s so many ways to get started it can be super overwhelming. But first things first, you don’t need to spend any big bucks. I promise you their ads will NOT grow you a good audience and that’s really all you need – a loyal audience. 10 followers that constantly engage with your account is much more valuable than 100 accounts that follow you but never view your page again. So do NOT pay to grow your account because that will not help you in any way in the long run.
2. Create your own brand
Secondly, create your own brand. Don’t just follow what others do, do your own thing. When I started off all I would do was recreate content I’d see on others pages. The only time I saw results was after I started to brainstorm my own ideas and create unique content. If you would genuinely like to see how I did this, how I found the best aesthetic, theme, ideas and even what to write in your bio-yes it does matter – purchase my ebook for only $8.99 for exclusive content and my personal email for one-on-one support. 3. Make Connections
Next thing we gotta focus on is getting your brand out there- you want people to know you and the best way to do this is to engage with others in your niche. Comment in their posts, follow them, message them even.
The more you out yourself out there, the more exposure you get. When I first started I was constantly commenting on bigger accounts in my niche.
4. Use reels to your advantage
Another important point is you MUST make use of those reels. Reels are the best way to get your content out there and showcase your personality. Make them short and sweet. If you would like to learn about the best trends to hop on, what reels work best and how to discover what will work for your niche, you can find all that and more on my ebook.
5. Quality over quantity
Now that we’ve covered all that, one thing most people overlook is the quality of your content. Yes you shouldn’t be investing in expensive cameras and setups just yet but no one said you had to! The quality of your posts and reels matters. The more professional your page appears, the more likely people are to follow you. I’ve seen multiple accounts similar to mine and realised that the ones who put time into the background of the I post, the quality of their images, they would tend to have a more active following than ones who spammed content.
6. Consistency
Finally you should be looking at your consistency. I cannot express enough how important it is to post consistently. But how often is enough and when does it become too much? I found what worked for me was reusing a schedule and sticking to it. This will take some time to experiment but as soon as you see what type of posts do well, post more of them because that’s what people followed you for. The second you stop posting not only will you not gain flowers but you’ll lose the ones you have.
